2004–05 Sacramento Kings season

The 2004–05 NBA season was the Kings' 56th season in the NBA and 20th in Sacramento.〔(2004-05 Sacramento Kings )〕 The season is best remembered when the team lost three starters from the 2002 team. With Chris Webber being traded to Philadelphia, Vlade Divac announcing his decision to return to the Lakers, where his career began, in the offseason, and Doug Christie being traded to Orlando for Cuttino Mobley, the Kings were never again title contenders. Still, they managed a 50-32 record, clinching a sixth spot in the Western Conference. The Kings failed to make it out of the first round, losing to the defunct Seattle SuperSonics in five games.
